Jewelry Garments {Inspiration}

When most people think of "Body Jewelry" they immediate associate the term with body piercings. Nowadays, body jewelry is often referred to as garment like jewelry- mixed chain pieces for your arms, legs, torso.. etc.
While these are not our everyday body jewelry, the work of Stephanie Bila is truly breathe-taking. Stephanie Bila's inspiration came from Japanese baskets and are made out of flexible beech timber and embellished with some Swarovski crystals.

For my capsule collection in May- I wanted to work along the lines of Jewelry Garment and play with the idea of "2nd layer jewelry-clothing", the idea of completing a look by adorning it with jewelry garments.
Contouring the natural shape of our bodies and playing with basic concept of garment structure. Here is a sneak peak of the collection so far...
